There’s a few ways you can help.
Donate supplies
These supplies are always in demand at the studio. We are always happy to receive used materials (it makes it easier for our studiomates to experiment more freely with things that aren’t precious).
Paper (all kinds, brown packing paper is amazing!)
Painting (watercolor, acrylic, oil)
Encaustic (beeswax, damar resin, natural bristle brushes)
Drawing (pastel, pencil, charcoal, markers)
Art and creativity books
Fiber & textiles (sewing, knitting, embroidery)
Printmaking supplies (linoleum blocks, inks, brayers)
Cutting tools (scissors, x-acto knives, etc)
Non-art supplies we need right now are:
Folding chairs
Warehouse lighting (similar to this)
Task lights and floor lamps
Exhaust vent for encaustics
Garage heater (need minimum 16,680 BTU)
If you prefer to purchase new, we have wishlists here, but we’re always down to have used versions of any of these items:
St. Louis Art Supply (one of our favorite small businesses!)
Bookshop (this is an affiliate link that supports our local neighborhood bookstore, Page 2 Books)
Donate time
We’ve DIY’d the space and always have projects that could use an additional hand with. Current project list is:
Cleaning, moving, and installing wood stove
Painting studio interior
Installing utility sink
Circuit work
Prepping yard for retaining wall and laying cement patio to extend outdoor studio space
